Sunbird Records presents Hollins plus Damp Matches and Collectors.A special night is in store as local favourites celebrate the release of their latest single "What We Wish For' with a gig at their hometown venue, Sunbird RecordsHOLLINS -Â Â songs Mixing Madchester, rock and roll, rap, and funk into one fresh, killer sound.
Damp Matches -hailing from the Fine City of Norwich, Damp Matches deliver a brash and high-energy take on contemporary rock music.
Switching seamlessly between the soaring vocals of Helena Lewis, evoking the likes of a female /, and the grimy words of bassist Will Calvert, who channels a ying-yang mix of and of , their unique combination of sounds range from the haunting to the viscerally hard-hitting. Ferocious and abrupt guitar lines from Dominic Clarke and Stephen Spiers have drawn comparisons to the likes of , and , all punctuated by the driving drums of Lee Jaggard.
They have seen airplay on BBC Radio 1 multiple times, with their most recent single ‘Sweet Nothing’ closing out Alyx Holcombe’s BBC Introducing Rock show the week of its release.
After an appearance at Latitude Festival last year and a flurry of shows across the southeast this year, Damp Matches look set to take their unique brand of noise to an even wider audience heading into 2026, with their debut LP set for release at the end of 2025.Collectors. -Â originally started in frontman Bobby's bedroom as a solo instrumental project that was being written for around 5 years. Through mutual pals and contacts within the music scene, they have slowly become a fully-fledged band.
The band's sound now includes vocals, and draws inspiration from artists such as Interpol, City and Colour, and Daughter. The quintet blends atmospheric textures with distorted guitars and driving drums, bringing a fresh sound to the indie scene.
